They Hired The Motorbike – Sad News as 2 Brothers Die In Accident After Attending Friend’s Burial

A tragic accident in Busia County has left a family in mourning after two brothers lost their lives in a road crash while returning from a friend’s burial.

The incident occurred at Mundika Market along the Busia-Kisumu Highway, adding to the growing concerns over road safety in the country.

According to reports, the two brothers, identified as Brian and Juma, were riding on a hired motorcycle when a speeding vehicle rammed into them from behind.

The impact caused them to lose control and crash, leading to their immediate deaths.

The motorcycle rider, who was also involved in the crash, succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Busia County General Hospital.

Eyewitnesses recounted that the vehicle involved, a Probox, was allegedly transporting contraband goods from Uganda.

Following the accident, enraged locals set the car and its cargo ablaze, though the driver and co-driver managed to flee the scene before the situation escalated.

The tragic deaths of the three men come as an additional blow to the mourning community, as they were part of a group escorting the body of their friend, Otis, who had also died in a road accident just days before.

Authorities, including the Western Regional Commissioner Irungu Macharia, have condemned the incident and assured the public that investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been taken to Busia County Referral Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.

The community now awaits justice for the fallen brothers and their friend.
