Little Boy Wins Hearts by Dressing Like President Mahama for Independence Day

A two-year-old Ghanaian boy has captured attention on social media after dressing like President John Dramani Mahama for his school’s Independence Day celebration.

A Mini President in the Making

The little boy, a student of God’s Grace Montessori International, wore a white three-piece kaftan with kente trimmings—a replica of what President Mahama wore during his January 7, 2025, inauguration. He also completed the look with a matching kente hat.

In a viral Instagram video, the boy confidently walked around his home before heading to school.

Parents’ Inspiration

His mother, Grace Asare, revealed that they have called him “Mr. President” since birth, believing in building his confidence to one day lead Ghana.

> “Since I gave birth to him, we’ve called him Mr. President. Even on his last birthday, his cake had ‘His Excellency’ written on it,” she shared.

She explained that her husband suggested dressing him like Mahama for the school event, as the former president’s inauguration outfit carried symbolic meaning.

Best-Dressed Award & Social Media Reactions

The boy was named Best Dressed at his school’s Independence Day event, and social media users showered him with praise.

Conclusion

This heartwarming moment not only celebrates Ghana’s heritage but also highlights the impact of positive representation in shaping young minds. Could we be witnessing the future leader of Ghana? Time will tell!
