Joseph Yamin [L] and Rev. Kusi Boateng
The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin, has alleged that the founder of Power Chapel Worldwide, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, was instrumental in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) plan to rig the 2024 general elections.
He alleged that the large number of ballot papers intercepted and retrieved in the Ashanti Region on election day were found in the home of the man of God.
Speaking in an interview on Abusua FM, Joseph Yamin, a former Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, accused Rev. Kusi Boateng of being one of the religious leaders who contributed to wrongdoing in Ghana.
“Rev. Kusi Boateng was instrumental in the NPP’s election rigging scheme. The large number of illegal ballot papers we retrieved were found in his room. He is part of the scheme. Sometimes I wonder why, even after two months of the NDC assuming power, certain individuals have not been invited by security agencies for questioning. I don’t understand why he held a diplomatic passport. All diplomatic passports have been recalled, yet his was quietly set aside, and nobody questioned how he obtained it while also holding an ordinary passport under a different name. I expect security agencies to call him for questioning immediately,” Yamin said.
He added: “Rev. Kusi Boateng was part of the NPP’s scheme to rig the elections. He was deeply involved in every plan to manipulate the results. While other pastors prayed for a peaceful and successful election, Rev. Kusi Boateng prayed for a rigging mechanism to ensure his preferred candidate became the President of Ghana.”
