We’ll Criticise You Like You Did To Akufo-Addo; You Can’t Gag Us With Legal Action-Bawa Mogtari Told

P.K Sarpong, a well-known commentator affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has issued a strong response to Joyce Bawa Mogtari, a Special Aide to president John Dramani Mahama, over allegations regarding her acquisition of a state vehicle in 2017.

In a social media post, Sarpong accused Bawa Mogtari of hypocrisy, stating that while she justified her purchase of a state vehicle for GHS 14,700 on January 6, 2017, she had previously criticised others for similar transactions. He challenged her defense that the valuation of the vehicle was conducted by the State Transport Corporation (STC) based on established procedures, arguing that she had labelled others as corrupt for acquiring state assets through due process.

“You have accused so many people of acquiring state properties. You have labeled those who bought lands valued by the relevant state agencies as having committed the most egregious crimes under the sun. Those people have took to the cleaners also have proper documentation, yet you labeled them corrupt.

You referred to those lands they bought as state capture, even though they also went through due process. The same process that your car passed through which you deem to be legitimate was the same process others went through, yet you described it as state capture.

The only vice that cannot be forgiven is hypocrisy. The repentance of a hypocrite is itself hypocrisy, and this is a perfect description of you, Joyce!

You lack principles! What you dished out to President Akufo-Addo, Vice President Bawumia, Samira Bawumia, Ken Ofori-Atta would be dished out to you in tenfold” part of his statement read.

P.K Sarpong further warned Joyce Bawa Mogtari that if she attempted to take legal action over the issue, she would be met with strong resistance.

“Madam, if your only solution to gag us is to file suits against us if we come at you with attacks, then gird up your loins, for we are just warming up.

We are prepared to go to court with you. You better gather up your pity and tears and go and sit somewhere.” He concluded.
