Frank Amoakohene Visits Atwea Mountain To Resolve Dispute Over Management Of The Facility

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Frank Amoakohene, has visited the Atwea Mountain in the Ashanti Region to resolve issues regarding the management of the facility.

The Atwea Mountain is a unique mountain, famous for its attraction of Christian pilgrims, who regularly visit the township of Atwea in a bid to ascend to the peak of the mountain to hold prayers and conventions.

The Atwea mountain has become one of the most popular converging places for Christians all over Ghana.

In a Facebook post, Frank Amoakohene disclosed that he went there with his team to address the long-standing dispute over the management of the place.

The newly-appointed Regional Minister said he also seized the moment to seek God’s blessings for himself and President John Dramani Mahama.

He wrote, “I embarked on a journey to the Atwea Mountains — not only to seek God’s hand upon the Ashanti Region, H.E. the President, and our beloved Ghana — but also to help resolve a longstanding dispute over the management of this iconic facility.

Climbing to the very top of the mountain, I had the privilege of meeting with the church leadership, the vibrant community living atop the mountain, as well as engaging the Forestry Heads and the Sekyere Central Assembly.

The Atwea Mountains is not just a sacred ground for Christian pilgrimage, but also a gem for ecotourism. I wholeheartedly invite you to visit and experience the serenity, spirituality, and natural beauty that this place offers.

Let’s continue to seek God’s blessings while promoting peace, unity, and development in our communities.”
