The Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) for the Mampong Municipal Assembly, Peter Kwadwo Adomako has assured support for victims of the recent rainstorm in Nintin by the end of February.
On February 18, 2025, a severe rainstorm ripped off the roofs of multiple buildings, including the Presbyterian Basic School at Nintin in the Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region, leaving residents and students stranded.
The NADMO Director has stated that an assessment revealed about 20 affected structures, including the Nintin Presbyterian Primary School.
He added that the organization would collaborate with the Member of Parliament for the area and key stakeholders to provide relief for the victims.
“We have assessed the situation and will be meeting with the MP and other stakeholders to determine the best way to assist the victims. We expect to provide some support by the end of the month,” he assured.
