The Anlo Dukor Council has welcomed Dr Johnson Asiama’s appointment as Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), commending President John Mahama’s commitment to upholding competence and experience in key national appointments.
Dr Asiama’s appointment as the new BoG Governor, pending approval by the Council of State, has faced some opposition from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Minority in Parliament over charges against his involvement in the collapse of Unibank and UT Bank, charges the office of the Attorney-General recently withdrew.
