Appointments Committee vets Rashid Pelpuo

The Appointments Committee of Parliament has commenced the vetting for Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, the Minister-designate for the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment.

The vetting will focus on Pelpuo’s vision for addressing the nation’s unemployment challenges, enhancing job creation, and ensuring better working conditions for Ghanaian workers.

During the session, Pelpuo is expected to outline strategies to improve labour relations and propose initiatives to attract investments in job-generating sectors.

His extensive experience as a legislator and advocate for employment issues places him in the spotlight as he responds to questions from committee members.

The outcome of his vetting will determine his approval to head one of the country’s most critical ministries, which is tasked with ensuring that the labour market remains dynamic and inclusive.
