Watch as Kusi Boateng ‘sprays’ cash on bereaved family at a funeral

Rev. Kusi Boateng spotted at a funeral

Reverend Kusi Boateng, Secretary of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, has been seen in public for the first time since the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration’s departure from office.

In the viral video, Reverend Kusi Boateng was spotted at a funeral, dressed in a red mourning attire.

In the video, he is captured ‘spraying’ money on the family of the deceased, an act that has sparked conversations online.

The appearance, though subtle, has drawn attention, reigniting discussions about his role within the National Cathedral project.

The clergyman, who recently faced allegations of holding two passports under different identities, was recently exonerated by the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), bringing some resolution to a controversy that once dominated national headlines.

In January 2023, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament of North Tongu, accused Reverend Kusi Boateng of conflict of interest, alleged criminal conduct, and operating under multiple identities.

The claims centered on suspicions that he held two passports, one under his official name and another under a different identity. Ablakwa formally petitioned CHRAJ to investigate these accusations.

Following months of scrutiny, CHRAJ concluded that Reverend Kusi Boateng holds only one passport, issued under the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.

This finding cleared him of the allegations, allowing him to move past what many described as a challenging chapter in his public life.
