Edward Asare leads insightful discussion on social media strategy and branding for universities at NUGS PR conference

Edward Asare, marketing and digital communication expert, recently spoke at the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) PR Conference, offering valuable insights on the dynamic role of social media strategy and branding for universities.

The conference, held to empower Public Relations Officers (PROs) from tertiary institutions across Ghana, saw Edward Asare share his extensive expertise on how universities can leverage social media platforms to build their brands and foster deeper connections with students, alumni, and the wider community.

Edward Asare’s presentation, emphasised the importance of a strategic approach to social media branding. He spoke on the need for universities to create authentic, engaging content that aligns with their values while effectively reaching diverse audiences. His insights also touched on the significance of consistency across social media platforms, creating a unique online identity, and using data analytics to refine strategies and measure success.

Reflecting on the impact of digital communication in shaping public perception, Edward Asare encouraged university PROs to harness the power of storytelling through social media, urging them to highlight academic achievements, student success stories, and the diverse culture of their institutions.
