Afenyo-Markin’s call on Mahama to appoint 70 ministers exposes the dirty lies of politicians

Socio-political analyst, Nana Piesie Anto, has slammed Minority Leader, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, for advising President John Dramani Mahama to apologise to Ghanaians and appoint 70 ministers instead of the 60 he initially promised.

The analyst said the comments by the Minority Leader are purely hypocritical and an insult to the Ghanaian people.

He wondered why he would engage in such politics when his party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, had promised to work with only 50 ministers.

This type of politics, he stated, must stop because it is not healthy for development.

“This is the type of politics we should not entertain in Ghana. Dr. Bawumia promised to work with 50 ministers, and President Mahama promised 60, and now you have asked President Mahama to apologise to Ghanaians and appoint more; this is purely hypocritical and politically unwise. Why promise to appoint only 50 ministers but advise someone who pledged to work with 60 to appoint 70? This orthodox way of politics ought to stop. It is unhealthy,” he said while speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM.

He advised the president to remain dedicated to his promise to work with only 60 minutes.
