The founder and leader of Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has issued a strong warning to President-elect John Dramani Mahama regarding individuals who may harm his administration if appointed to key positions.
Speaking during a service, Prophet Oduro noted that many individuals are lobbying for appointments in Mahama’s incoming government under the NDC. He referenced a recent statement by Mahama, who revealed that after his defeat in the 2016 elections, many people distanced themselves from him, only to return now with gifts following his 2024 victory.
Prophet Oduro described such behavior as hypocritical and driven by greed. He cautioned Mahama against appointing individuals with selfish motives, warning that they could undermine his government. According to the prophet, these individuals are more interested in personal enrichment than in serving the nation, a pattern he noted has plagued past administrations with dire consequences.
He emphasized the need for Ghana to have leaders who genuinely prioritize the nation’s interests and are committed to public service. Additionally, he called for God-fearing leadership focused on national development rather than personal gain.
Prophet Oduro’s remarks come in the wake of Mahama’s decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election, where he secured 56.55% of the vote, defeating Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who garnered 41.66%. This victory marks Mahama’s return to the presidency, having previously served as Ghana’s leader from 2012 to 2017.
Mahama’s win has been celebrated nationwide, with many looking forward to his leadership in tackling critical national issues and fostering development.
