Barcelona have reportedly been told by the RFEF that their request to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor is not going to happen and that the club should have followed the rules.
The Catalans announced on Tuesday that they had applied to the RFEF for new licences for both players in a bid to allow them to play in the second half of the season.
Meanwhile, the two players have been taken off La Liga’s website, and sources at the RFEF have told AS they will stick with the league’s decision.
“La Liga’s decision will be respected and Barcelona’s request for Dani Olmo and Pau Victor will not be met,” sources told the newspaper.
“After all the effort it has taken to re-establish relations with LaLiga, not all bridges can be blown up due to an issue that, furthermore, is regulated. It is Barça that should have complied with the rules.”
Elsewhere, it’s been reported that Barca are still hopeful of being able to register both players this winter, but the latest updates do not sound optimistic at all.
