According to reports from GhanaWeb, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the Special Aide to President-elect John Dramani Mahama, has addressed Cadman Mills, a notable figure in the NDC, over his concerns about the emergence of sycophancy within the new administration.<\/p>\n

In a detailed post on X, Mills expressed alarm at the early indications of sycophancy, noting that some people and organizations are overly flattering Mahama and his family to gain favor. <\/p>\n

He pointed out the public suggestion that Mahama’s son, Sharaf Mahama, be appointed Minister of Sports, highlighting Sharaf’s interest in boxing.<\/p>\n

Mills remarked that while the Mahama-led NDC government is not new to Ghanaian politics, having been in power from 2013 to 2017, the current atmosphere raises concerns.<\/p>\n

He noted that it seems individuals are eager to please the incoming president and his family, citing the calls for Sharaf to assume a ministerial role as a prominent example.<\/p>\n

In her response, Bawah Mogtari characterized the calls for Sharaf’s appointment as expressions of excitement rather than sycophancy.<\/p>\n
