The Krontihene of Akyem Asuom, Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III, has fervently prayed against Ghana ever being afflicted with a President like Nana Akufo-Addo again.<\/p>\n

According to him, the country has suffered greatly under President Akufo-Addo\u2019s tenure, witnessing widespread looting by government appointees during what he described as a poorly performing administration.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media, Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III expressed relief that President Akufo-Addo\u2019s term would end in just over a week.<\/p>\n

“Overall, we thank God that the good Lord is about to hand the mantle to President Mahama. As stated in Luke 10:29, Ghana has been stripped naked. Ghana is bleeding; the robbers have stolen all the goodies. But now, a good Samaritan has come to rescue her, restore her to good health, and recover the stolen loot. It was quite clear, but some people just didn\u2019t realize it. Some of us are happy that his reign is coming to an end,” he said.<\/p>\n

Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III added that many chiefs are pleased to see President Akufo-Addo, who they felt disrespected some of their colleagues, leave office.<\/p>\n

“A lot of chiefs are happy. A good friend of mine, who is also a chief, told me, \u2018Let\u2019s see if he [Akufo-Addo] will now go around and instruct chiefs to stand up and greet him.\u2019 It is not a good legacy. He could have achieved much more. He had so much revenue and so many opportunities to do good for this country. We pray we never have another Akufo-Addo as President of Ghana. Overall, we thank God that the good Lord is about to give the mantle to President Mahama.”<\/p>\n
