The Friday morning catastrophe has also left over 20 people with potentially fatal injuries. According to information obtained by Adom News, there were 53 people aboard the bus.<\/p>\n<p>According to two passengers, Kojo Asiedu and Jonas Ofori Teye, the bus driver tried to dodge a towing car driver who had made an illegal overtake on the road. In an effort to escape a head-on collision, the bus landed on its side and traveled a short distance before coming to a stop due to a fast-approaching vehicle from the opposite way.<\/p>\n<p>The victims were taken to the Cape Coast Teaching and University of Cape Coast Hospitals for medical treatment, according to eyewitness Charles Opoku, who helped rescue them. He claimed that following the crash, some of the passengers were trapped while others sprang out of the window to escape.<\/p>\n<p>According to Keteku Prosper, a principal of the National Ambulance Service&#8217;s Emergency Medical Team, they had to send some sufferers to the UCC hospital after learning that the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital was full.
