Ghanaian actor and entertainer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has stirred up a storm over the viral hit song Honourable Waawe, which gained massive attention following the New Patriotic Party\u2019s (NPP) loss to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections.<\/p>\n LilWin has firmly claimed ownership of the track, asserting that the idea behind it was stolen from him.<\/p>\n In a recent interview, the multi-talented star expressed his frustration, alleging that De Thompson, the musician behind the song, had profited off his intellectual property without offering due credit.<\/p>\n \u201cThe concept of Honourable Waawe is mine. I wrote and composed it in spirit before De Thompson physically crafted it. It\u2019s disappointing that my idea was taken and used without my acknowledgment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The controversy deepened when the show host questioned the basis of LilWin\u2019s claim. The host pointed out that the term Honourable Waawe had only appeared in a film where LilWin played a lead role. In response, the actor stood his ground.<\/p>\n \u201cThat film was where I first introduced the term. It\u2019s my creative property, and just because someone put it into a song doesn\u2019t mean they own the idea.
