The Overlord of Gonjaland, His Royal Majesty Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewusoale I has urged President-elect John Dramani Mahama to continue implementing policies that resonate with the aspirations of Ghanaians.

He reminded the former president that he was in a social contract with Ghanaians, and for that reason, he was to live up to his task.

During a courtesy visit by the President-Elect, Yagbonwura noted “It is our fervent hope that as you prepare for your inauguration on January 7, 2025, you will continue to implement policies and programmes that resonate with the aspirations of our people.

“Mr. President-elect, as you embark on this new chapter, I must remind you that you have entered a social contract with the people of Ghana.”

Yagbonwura also noted that the renewal of Mahama’s mandate was a clear testament to his exemplary works during his previous works.

He noted that posterity had vindicated his efforts, adding that Ghanaians had expressed their confidence in Mahama’s ability to take the country to greater heights.

I’ll champion a prosperous future for Ghana’s youth and the vulnerable – Mahama
