While many Ghanaians praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his statesmanship, other NPP members were not happy with his early acceptance of defeat a few days before EC chair Jean Mensa formally announced the results of the 2024 election.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nDr. Bawumia explained to a crowd assembled at his home, &#8220;Even though the Electoral Commission had not yet made a decision, some of my team members were saying you can&#8217;t go out and concede, we don&#8217;t know if all this data is right, let&#8217;s wait.&#8221; and anything else. &#8220;Look,&#8221; I replied, &#8220;we know this data is accurate from our own system, so if you wait, you&#8217;ll increase tension and there may be violence because people will believe we&#8217;re trying to rig the election.&#8221; &#8220;Because we are attempting to rig the election, and that is the message that is coming.&#8221; However, no one has ever given up an election without the EC making a public announcement. Additionally, I<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nIn addition, Dr. Bawumia underlined, &#8220;I will come out and be the first to concede even before the EC comes out for the sake of our nation&#8217;s peace and stability.&#8221; Therefore, I came out at nine in the morning and gave in right here, where we are now. When I addressed the nation, I expressed my belief that, for the sake of peace and security, our democracy, and our economic climate, any violence deters potential investors and only serves to bring in terrorists from our subregion because of the instability, which is not what God intended for Ghana. &#8220;God wants Ghana to be peaceful,&#8221; he reaffirmed.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nAccording to rumors circulating on the social networking site X, the results of the 2024 presidential election have been gazetted by the Electoral Commission.
