Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has stated that he is ever ready to appear before the preparatory committee set up by President-elect John Dramani Mahama to set the grounds for his Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) policy.<\/p>\n However, according to Mr. Blay, he may lose his cool at the committee because of its chairperson, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.<\/p>\n \u201cI am saying if it\u2019s a proper organization and has a basis in law and they even invite me that they have something and they want me to appear, Okudzeto, I will meet him. Unfortunately, he will be the chair. If I don\u2019t take care, I might be a little bit… I will lose my temper with him because of what he\u2019s been saying, the disgrace, the defamation, the libelous things he\u2019s been talking and writing. It may provoke me. I wouldn\u2019t know what my reaction will be,\u201d he told JoyNews in an interview.<\/p>\n Mr. Ablakwa, who is the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has leveled various accusations against some members of the Blay family, including grabbing state lands.<\/p>\n But reacting to the allegations, Freddie Blay denied any wrongdoing on his part and that of his children, Kwame and Kwaw, who have been named by the MP.<\/p>\n \u201cMy family has not taken a pesewa from the Ghana government unlawfully. We have not taken any government land unlawfully. We have not done anything that you can blame me for. If Okudzeto now is convinced that I\u2019ve done that, then I\u2019m a little careful about what ORAL wants to do,\u201d he said in an interview with Accra-based JoyNews.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve sued him for defamation, and my two children have sued him also for defamation because we have not taken any government land and yet give that impression. He organizes people with placards and makes it look as if my two sons and I have stolen government lands. He calls that state capture. That I will resist.
