The Member of Parliament-elect for Asante Akyem North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, has declared that no seat in Ghana is safe anymore.<\/p>\n
He cited the results of the 2024 elections as evidence of a shift in voter behaviour.<\/p>\n
\u201cGhanaian voters are now enlightened and sophisticated. Nobody can deceive any voter,\u201d he remarked during an interview on Asempa FM\u2019s show.<\/p>\n
Mr. Frimpong, who ran as an independent candidate, stressed his commitment to representing the will of his constituents.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will only accept a position from the incoming government if the people of Asante Akyem North approve of it. Every decision I make concerning the constituency will involve consultation with my people,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
He stressed the importance of accountability and respect for the electorate.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will always be accountable to the people of Asante Akyem North and respect their decisions. My footprints are all over the constituency, and I have earned the support of both NPP and NDC members\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on his motivation, Mr. Frimpong shared, \u201cI want to always challenge myself naturally. This victory has strengthened my resolve to serve and deliver for the people.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Frimpong secured a resounding victory with 26,926 votes, defeating the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP, Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, who received 8,933 votes.<\/p>\n
