The National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress, George Opare Addo, paid special appreciation to some specific individuals during a Victory Thanksgiving service by the youth wing of the party on Sunday, December 22, 2024.<\/p>\n While acknowledging a long list of individuals worthy of mention, Mr. Opare Addo singled out a group of men from the Ashanti Region who he stated were instrumental in the party\u2019s vigilant efforts in the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party, the Ashanti Region, during the 2024 general elections.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are many other people who played diverse roles in what we all see today. People volunteered their time, their efforts, their money, and their resources. If I decide to mention names, it will be a long order, but I also want to single out a group of young men from the Ashanti Region who are here with us this evening. Who over the years have been working with the NPP, but when we reached out to them, they decided to help us. So to my brother Spirito, if you are here, the NDC says thank you. To our brother Seidu Danger, the NDC says thank you. And to the hero of Tafo, Jarule, the NDC says thank you,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n He underscored that the vigilance of the party in the Ashanti Region, with the support and efforts of the stated individuals, paid off, culminating in the NDC\u2019s massive victory in the elections.<\/p>\n \u201cIf we managed to keep the NPP in check in the Ashanti Region, these are the young men who supported those efforts. That is why they (the NPP) couldn\u2019t fly in Ashanti,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He revealed the NDC\u2019s ambition to diffuse the NPP\u2019s dominance in the Ashanti Region and make it a stronghold of his party.<\/p>\n \u201cLet me assure you, all things being equal, God willing, we will turn the Ashanti Region around and make it an NDC stronghold. We are not going to cede the Ashanti Region anymore to the NPP because now we know that if we work in there, we will get what we are looking for,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The thanksgiving service held at the Accra Mall on Sunday formed part of activities by the NDC Youth Wing to celebrate the party\u2019s victory in the December 7, 2024, presidential and parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n The event, which witnessed the presence of several party leaders, including the National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, saw performances from several gospel artistes such as Nacee, Uncle Ato, Jack Alolome, Perez Muzik, Kofi Peprah, Piesie Esther, and the Bethel Revival Choir, among others.<\/p>\n Members of the clergy, including Reverend Obofour, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, Pastor Joel Duncan Williams, and Pastor Paapa Korankye-Ankrah, were also present.<\/p>\n![\"The](\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanaweb.com\/imagelib\/pics\/294\/29464410.295.jpg\" "\\"The")
