The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rejected the seven re-collated parliamentary results declared by the Electoral Commission (EC), accusing the body of manipulation and bias in favour of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).<\/p>\n The disputed constituencies include Ahafo Ano North, Techiman South, Ahafo Ano South West, Nsawam Adoagyiri, Obuasi East, Okaikwei Central, and Tema Central, all of which were declared in favour of the NPP following the re-collation process.<\/p>\n In a statement issued by the party shortly after the re-collation results signed by its General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC condemned the process, describing it as unlawful and accusing the EC of undermining the principles of fairness and transparency.<\/p>\n He called the results a violation of Ghana\u2019s democratic values, insisting that the EC had acted in favour of the NPP.<\/p>\n \u201cThese results, declared under questionable circumstances, are a direct attack on the democratic will of the Ghanaian people,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n It continued: \u201cThe actions of the EC, under the leadership of Jean Mensah, have undermined the integrity of the electoral process and deepened public mistrust in the institution.\u201d<\/p>\n It further warned that electoral malpractice has no statute of limitations, suggesting that the NDC will hold the EC accountable for its actions.<\/p>\n The results were re-collated following a High Court ruling in response to allegations of irregularities in the seven constituencies. Despite the EC\u2019s declaration of NPP victories, the NDC maintains that the re-collation was neither impartial nor credible.<\/p>\n While rejecting the results, the NDC praised its supporters for remaining calm and avoiding clashes with security forces during the re-collation process.
