Abbey has also stepped down from his position as a board member of the media group.<\/p>\n<p>Abbey, who is well-known for hosting the popular morning show Good Morning Ghana, is yet to announce whether he will continue as the host of the program in the coming year. Many viewers are eagerly awaiting his decision, which is expected to be made public soon.<\/p>\n<p>A farewell ceremony was held in his honor at the Metro TV headquarters in Accra. The event celebrated Abbey\u2019s contributions to the station and his impact on Ghana\u2019s media landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from his media career, Abbey is a prominent figure in Ghanaian football. He serves as a member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and is also the president of Kpando Hearts of Lions Football Club.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, Abbey has earned several recognitions for his work. In 2006, he was awarded the Order of the Volta for his outstanding contributions to the media industry in Ghana. That same year, he also received a Grand Medal for playing a key role in Ghana\u2019s successful qualification and participation in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Randy Abbey\u2019s resignation marks the end of an era at Metro TV, where he has been a central figure for many years. However, his achievements in both media and sports continue to inspire many Ghanaians.
