Social media users have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Electoral Commission after its decision to re-collate parliamentary results of some nine constituencies in the 2024 general elections.<\/p>\n
According to the EC, this has become necessary because the declaration of the results of these constituencies was marred with various inconsistencies.<\/p>\n
The constituencies include Tema Central, Ablekuma North, Nsawam Adoagyiri, Ahafo Ano South West and Ahafo Ano North.<\/p>\n
The NDC sought to place an injunction on the process at the Accra High Court but was overturned.<\/p>\n
The EC has then proceeded to re-collate the results leading to victory for six NPP parliamentary candidates.<\/p>\n
Users on X have described the EC as a \u201cfailure\u201d while noting that this will set a bad precedent for future elections in the country.<\/p>\n
