Obofuor, founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), has weighed in on the reasons behind the New Patriotic Party\u2019s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 general elections. Speaking to his congregation, he highlighted a combination of factors, with pride and arrogance among politicians standing out as the main cause.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tRev. Obofuor criticized the behavior of some NPP members, stating that Ghanaians have grown tired of the arrogance displayed, particularly towards the youth. \u201cPride and arrogance are part of the reason why they didn\u2019t win. Ghanaians have been able to bring down the proud men in politics,\u201d he remarked.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tHe also pointed to the NPP\u2019s mishandling of key issues such as the Free Senior High School program. While the initiative was praised, the poor quality of food provided under the program became a source of frustration for many. Additionally, he addressed the persistent power outages, popularly known as \u201cdumsor,\u201d which the NPP had criticized the previous government for but failed to fix during their time in power.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tRev. Obofuor further noted that many citizens had been suffering silently for years but are now more outspoken about their challenges and dissatisfaction. \u201cThe people were suffering but couldn\u2019t voice it out.
