The couple, Emmanuel Kusi and his wife Margaret, were traveling home after attending a family gathering in Mamponteng.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple’s car, a Toyota Corolla, collided head-on with a speeding tipper truck along the Ankaase-Mamponteng stretch. The impact of the crash was severe, and the couple was trapped in the wreckage.

Despite efforts to rescue them, Emmanuel and Margaret succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene. The truck driver, who sustained minor injuries, has been taken into custody for further questioning.

The police have attributed the accident to reckless driving on the part of the truck driver. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver was overspeeding and lost control, veering into the lane of the oncoming car.

Emmanuel and Margaret were a loving couple who were inseparable. Friends and family described them as a perfect pair who were deeply in love. They had just celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary a few weeks ago.

The couple leaves behind two young children, aged three and one, who were not in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Family members are calling for prayers and support as they navigate this difficult time.

The accident has sparked concerns about the safety of the Ankaase-Mamponteng stretch, which is notorious for its poor lighting and narrow lanes. Residents are calling for urgent action to improve the road and prevent further accidents.

The tragic loss of Emmanuel and Margaret has sent shockwaves through their community, and friends, colleagues, and family members are pouring out their grief on social media.

This blog is managed by the content creator and not GhanaWeb, its affiliates, or employees.
