Ghanaian actress and media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, has made bold allegations against some pastors in the country, claiming they are conspiring against Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia due to his Muslim faith. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Afia accused the pastors of holding a secret meeting where they discussed strategies to undermine Dr. Bawumia’s political career.

According to Afia, the pastors agreed that they did not want a Muslim to lead Ghana and were working together to thwart Dr. Bawumia’s prospects. She further stated that she has an audio recording of the meeting and promised to release it, claiming it would expose the individuals behind the alleged plot.

“I have the audio from their meeting, and I will release it for everyone to hear how these men of God are plotting against Bawumia,” Afia declared in her video, which has sparked intense debate online.

Afia did not mention the names of the pastors involved in the alleged conspiracy, leaving some to question the credibility of her claims. However, her bold accusations have fueled a wider conversation about religious bias in Ghana’s political landscape, especially regarding the country’s leadership and the role of religion in politics.

Dr. Bawumia, who is known for his emphasis on national unity and religious tolerance, has consistently called for harmony among Ghana’s diverse religious communities. His critics have often raised concerns about his Muslim faith, but Bawumia has remained steadfast in his commitment to promoting inclusivity and national cohesion.

If Afia’s claims are substantiated, it could ignite a wider discussion about religious discrimination in Ghana, a country known for its peaceful coexistence of Christians, Muslims, and other religious groups. It also raises questions about the potential influence of religious leaders on the country’s political processes.
