People voted and they voted against my candidature; they had a preference and voted for somebody else,\u201d he stated. <\/p>\n<p>The former MP had been a strong critic of the former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, calling for his dismissal over concerns about economic mismanagement and conflicts of interest. <\/p>\n<p>Despite the electoral setback, Appiah-Kubi maintained that he stood by his actions. \u201cI was a target through my advocacy, and I don\u2019t regret doing that. If I ever fall victim to my advocacy, at least I\u2019m still alive and have a fallback position.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>On his political journey, he announced his intention to leave politics permanently, choosing instead to focus on his legal profession. \u201cThis is the end of my political career.
