The police has however taken over the case for investigation.<\/p>\n<p>At another polling station, Adabase Polling Station, also in Bolgatanga Central, an elderly woman was whisked away on a motorbike after a mob had attempted to beat her up, for allegedly giving out unspecified amounts to voters just close to the polling station.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-455670\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG-20241207-WA0091-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Aside from the above and a few misunderstandings in the Bolgatanga East and Chiana-Paga Constituencies, the Upper East had a smooth election process as at 3:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>All parliamentary candidates across the region cast their votes before 12:00 noon, and they all expressed optimism of winning their constituencies.<\/p>\n<p>Former Deputy Attorney General and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Tempane, Joseph Kpemka, disclosed that he is very sure of winning the seat again, because the incidents that led to his defeat in 2020 have been addressed, and has worked with a united NPP front throughout the campaign.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-455671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG-20241207-WA0090-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The MP for Bolgatanga East Constituency, Dr. Dominic Ayine, in an interview with some journalists, pointed accusing finger at the NPP\u2019s candidate, Silas Amoah of moving some vehicles without registration plates across the constituency, saying he suspect the movement is not for something good.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the NPP candidate, Silas Amoah, has acknowledged that in the early hours of Saturday, December 7, he \u2018disguised\u2019 the vehicles for security reasons, because his house had been attacked by some gunmen on the night of Friday, December 6.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had to disguise myself and my vehicles today, because I do not know who these gunmen are and why they attacked my house.
