{"id":262045,"date":"2024-12-07T08:24:20","date_gmt":"2024-12-07T08:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/12\/07\/ndc-will-bring-ghana-backwards-in-first-year-asiedu-nketiah\/"},"modified":"2024-12-07T08:24:20","modified_gmt":"2024-12-07T08:24:20","slug":"ndc-will-bring-ghana-backwards-in-first-year-asiedu-nketiah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/12\/07\/ndc-will-bring-ghana-backwards-in-first-year-asiedu-nketiah\/","title":{"rendered":"NDC Will Bring Ghana Backwards In First Year &#8211; Asiedu Nketiah"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a shocking revelation, National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has outlined the party\u2019s plans to focus on rebuilding Ghana\u2019s state institutions if it wins the December 7 election.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the party\u2019s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina, Accra, Mr. Nketiah stressed that restoring governance and accountability structures would take precedence over development projects in the first year of an NDC administration.<\/p>\n<p>As far as I am concerned, the reset of our state institutions\u2014those of governance, accountability, and the management of our natural resources\u2014is far more important than isolated development projects,\u201d he declared on Thursday, December 5.<\/p>\n<p>This move has raised eyebrows, as it seems to suggest that the NDC will put development projects on the backburner, potentially stalling progress in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Asiedu Nketiah\u2019s statement has sparked concerns that the NDC\u2019s plan to \u201creset\u201d state institutions could lead to a reversal of the progress made by the current administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the first year, I urge all of you to let us focus on resetting the institutions of governance and democracy in this country.
