{"id":261352,"date":"2024-12-06T05:36:27","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T05:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/12\/06\/japan-bank-for-international-cooperation-sets-eyes-on-ghanas-energy-sector\/"},"modified":"2024-12-06T05:36:27","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T05:36:27","slug":"japan-bank-for-international-cooperation-sets-eyes-on-ghanas-energy-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/12\/06\/japan-bank-for-international-cooperation-sets-eyes-on-ghanas-energy-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Japan Bank for International Cooperation sets eyes on Ghana\u2019s energy sector\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<br><div id=\"article-text\">\n                       \n                        \n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has expressed interest in investing in\u00a0 Ghana\u2019s energy transmission to contribute to electricity stability and engender productivity and economic growth.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through semi-commercial loans, JBIC would support the financing of bankable projects, including the establishment of sub-stations as well as the provision of energy efficiency technology, which has worked in Japan to Ghana.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other areas of interest to the bank include oil and gas, manufacturing, green projects, including automobiles, energy transition and clean cooking, and health infrastructure development.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ms Fukaya Satoko, Division Director, Energy and Natural Resources Finance Group, JBIC, disclosed this exclusively to the Ghana News Agency on the margins of the 2024 Africa Investment Forum (AIF) market days in Rabat, Morocco.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA lot of Japanese companies have a kind of high technology to stabilise electricity, especially for the transmission lines.
