{"id":260852,"date":"2024-12-05T11:03:55","date_gmt":"2024-12-05T11:03:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/12\/05\/john-boadu-rallies-votes-for-npp\/"},"modified":"2024-12-05T11:03:55","modified_gmt":"2024-12-05T11:03:55","slug":"john-boadu-rallies-votes-for-npp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/12\/05\/john-boadu-rallies-votes-for-npp\/","title":{"rendered":"John Boadu Rallies Votes For NPP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>John Boadu\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has urged Ghanaians to give the New Patriotic Party (NPP) another term in office to ensure the completion of numerous transformational projects being undertaken in the country\u2019s State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) under the auspices of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA).<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a public forum, Mr. Boadu emphasised the significant strides made by the NPP government in reforming and strengthening SOEs, which are vital to Ghana\u2019s economic development. He attributed the successes to the establishment of SIGA, which has improved governance, accountability, and performance in these state entities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NPP government, through SIGA, has embarked on several landmark projects across various SOEs aimed at modernising infrastructure, boosting productivity, and creating jobs for Ghanaians. These projects are a testament to the vision and commitment of President Akufo-Addo\u2019s administration to make SOEs engines of growth,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>John Boadu cited projects such as the revamping of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), expansion of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), and modernisation efforts at the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL). He also highlighted significant investments in the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) to improve water supply, as well as reforms in the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to enhance efficiency and reduce losses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese projects are changing the narrative of our SOEs. They are now more efficient, accountable, and profitable, thanks to the reforms championed by SIGA under the NPP government. These achievements must not be taken for granted,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Boadu cautioned that a change in government could jeopardise the continuity and sustainability of these efforts, warning that uncompleted projects might be abandoned or mismanaged. \u201cIf there is a change of government, these projects, which are the lifeblood of Ghana\u2019s development, will go to waste. We cannot afford that,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He appealed to Ghanaians to vote for the NPP in the upcoming elections to protect these gains and ensure the completion of all ongoing projects. \u201cThe NPP has demonstrated that it has the competence, vision, and leadership to manage the affairs of the state.
