The event, held on December 1, 2024, saw thousands of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters flooding the streets for the \u201cEnti Asanteman Aseda Ni\u201d walk, which aimed to advocate for a change in government and shift the region\u2019s voting pattern in the upcoming December 7 elections.<\/p>\n<p>The massive turnout at the rally, which ended at the Kumasi Jubilee Park, left Mahama visibly surprised. Addressing the crowd, he expressed his disbelief, saying, \u201cAre we in Kumasi? Am I dreaming? I don\u2019t know if I am dreaming. Somebody should wake me up. Is this Kumasi? Is this Asanteman?\u201d His comments underscored the significance of the event and the energy of the supporters.<\/p>\n<p>Mahama\u2019s campaign in the Ashanti Region began with a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
