Asante Kotoko has appointed Kwasi Appiah as the new Head of Sporting Affairs as the shake-up at the club continues.

Appiah, who is the head coach of the Sudanese national team, served as the Technical Director in the Interim Management Committee (IMC) until the appointment of club legend Malik Jabir as the new Technical Director.

Prof. Prosper Ogum also served on the IMC but has been directed to focus solely on his duties as the head coach.

The new structure at the club means Jabir and Prof. Ogum will now report to Kwasi Appiah.

Kwasi Appiah is coming off leading Sudan to the 2025 AFCON, beating Ghana in the process in remarkable fashion, considering Sudan is going through a civil war and played all home games outside the country.

The 1982 AFCON winner, Appiah, is also returning to his position as a Ghana Football Association Executive Council member, with his suspension coming to an end following Ghana’s game against Sudan in the last international window of 2024.

After returning to winning ways against Aduana Stars after four games without a win, Asante Kotoko will take on Future Stars in the MTN FA Cup on Sunday, December 1, in the Round of 64 games at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium at 15:00 GMT, before hosting Hearts of Oak in the Matchday 13 games of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Our sporting setup. #AKSC #Fabucensus #Kotoko4All pic.twitter.com/JdDX72aRFx

— Asante Kotoko SC – 2X CAF CL Winners🥇 (@AsanteKotoko_SC) November 28, 2024

!["Head]("https://cdn.ghanaweb.com/imagelib/pics/156/15616164.295.jpg" ""Head")
