Ghanaian socialite, Nana Tonardo, has criticised broadcast journalist Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah for giving his mother the platform to attack Prophet Opambour. <\/p>\n
In an interview with Kwaku Manu on November 29, 2024, Tonardo labeled it an unwise decision on the part of Afrifa-Mensah. <\/p>\n
He argued that by encouraging his mother to insult the prophet, she has now become a target of public ridicule. <\/p>\n
“For Okatakyie to come on air and call me unwise, then turn around and bring his mother on air to insult Opambour and myself shows a lack of thought. He\u2019s essentially put his mother on a silver platter for everyone to insult. <\/p>\n
\u201cIf people are insulting her today, who gave them the permission to do so? If she had been thoughtful, she wouldn’t even have spoken about Opambour,” he stated. <\/p>\n

The controversy began when Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah\u2019s mother phoned in during one of his shows to express dismay after Prophet Opambour placed a curse on her son for criticising him. <\/p>\n
During the phone interaction, she directed a series of insults at the prophet, escalating the tension further. <\/p>\n
