{"id":255215,"date":"2024-11-23T14:45:20","date_gmt":"2024-11-23T14:45:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/11\/23\/npp-targets-30-parliamentary-seats-in-the-eastern-region\/"},"modified":"2024-11-23T14:45:20","modified_gmt":"2024-11-23T14:45:20","slug":"npp-targets-30-parliamentary-seats-in-the-eastern-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/11\/23\/npp-targets-30-parliamentary-seats-in-the-eastern-region\/","title":{"rendered":"NPP targets 30 Parliamentary seats in the Eastern Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set a target of between 28 to 30 parliamentary seats in the Eastern Region for the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n<p>Currently holding 25 of the 33 constituencies in the region, the NPP is projecting to gain an additional three to five seats based on its track record of developmental projects and hard work over the years.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the party\u2019s health walk, dubbed the Final Walk, in Kwahu-Abetifi, NPP General Secretary Justin Frempong Kodua urged party members to vote for Bawumia to ensure the continuation of the Free SHS policy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1111039\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-11-23-at-11.58.32_e973f6be.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1040\" height=\"480\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will wake up early in the morning to get to the polls on December 7 to vote, after the vote we will stand at the appropriate place to wait for the counting to start. We have heard that NDC is plotting to tamper with the ballot box,\u00a0 but we will not allow them to do that. We will be very vigilant. Not only that, but we will not cause any chaos but go there in peace to vote in peace\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South Constituency Samuel Attah Akyea also urged the residents of the Eastern Region to ensure they win majority seats to enable NPP MPs to win and dominate parliament.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1111041\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-11-23-at-11.58.30_2c4a6357-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1040\" height=\"480\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need the majority in parliament and Bagbin can not determine the Majority in Parliament but you, Eastern region, so let\u2019s put everything aside and vote for Bawumia. Let\u2019s prevent skirt and blouse.
