Ghanaian dancehall artiste Emmanuel Nii Armah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has clapped back at his colleague musician Black Sherif after the latter mocked him over his choice of underwear.

In a Snapchat post on November 20, 2024, Black Sherif poked fun at Shatta Wale, claiming he wore fake Calvin Klein underwear.

The post sparked a heated debate on social media, with fans of both artistes weighing in.

In response, Shatta Wale fired back during an interview with Kumasi-based radio station Angel FM.

He cautioned Black Sherif to be mindful of his words and actions, warning him not to cross a line that could damage their relationship.

“Black Sherif, the diamonds I wear are of the highest quality. It’ll take him 10 years to afford diamonds like mine. I’m not being dishonest; if he visits a diamond shop, he should ask about the price of VVS diamonds. Those aren’t for children. If he wants to humble himself, he can buy some within two months now.

“He thinks listening to industry players will help him. That’s the problem with our artistes who have issues with me; it’s like someone telling you, ‘Shatta Wale says you don’t dress well,’ and then you decide to mock me. You can’t mock me. He should stop that.”

He continued, “If anyone has advice for him, they should tell him to stop because he is towing a line that has never worked before.

“It’s like a phoning network that, when you make calls, it doesn’t go through. That line he’s towing, from Samini, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono; I can’t mention the number of people I have beefed with and me when I take a beef with you, I will make the song a hit. So, people should just talk to him to try to listen because, as you listen to interviews; that is when you can come to me and say, ‘Bro, I heard you had an interview with Rants and Bants that my attire isn’t good, but you see we don’t have that unity here,” Shatta Wale said.

Background:

The tension between Black Sherif and Shatta Wale started recently when Shatta criticised Black Sherif for disrespecting him on Snapchat by posting his picture and making a mockery of him.

This incident followed Shatta Wale’s earlier criticism of Black Sherif’s style of dressing during an episode of the Rants, Bants, and Confessions Podcast.

Infuriated by this, Shatta, during a live session on X, threatened to end Black Sherif’s career if he continues to mock him.

Shatta Wale F!res Black Sherif pic.twitter.com/A7hvKAHh6C

— Jasper Ziggle 🥷🇬🇭 🇺🇸 (@JasperZiggle) November 22, 2024

VKB/OGB

!["Dancehall]("https://cdn.ghanaweb.com/imagelib/pics/463/46314367.295.jpg" ""Dancehall")
