Mogtari claims that when Samira Bawumia attacked former President Mahama personally in 2016, she violated one of Ghanaian politics&#8217; unwritten laws.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the 2016 elections, Samira joined the chorus of the NPP in calling Mahama inept. According to Bawa Mogtari, Samira made history by being the first spouse of a presidential or vice presidential candidate to personally disparage her husband&#8217;s political rivals. She praised first ladies Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Lordina Mahama for managing their positions with maturity.
