{"id":253910,"date":"2024-11-21T11:36:19","date_gmt":"2024-11-21T11:36:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/11\/21\/demonic-possessions-among-white-people-are-worse-as-compared-to-blacks\/"},"modified":"2024-11-21T11:36:19","modified_gmt":"2024-11-21T11:36:19","slug":"demonic-possessions-among-white-people-are-worse-as-compared-to-blacks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/11\/21\/demonic-possessions-among-white-people-are-worse-as-compared-to-blacks\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Demonic possessions among white people are worse\u2019 as compared to Blacks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanaweb.com\/imagelib\/pics\/262\/26208418.295.jpg\" alt=\"Gospel musician, Sonnie Badu\" title=\"Gospel musician, Sonnie Badu\" width=\"295\" height=\"204\" \/> <span class=\"image_caption\"><span>Gospel musician, Sonnie Badu<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"-webkit-user-select: none; -webkit-touch-callout: none; -moz-user-select: none; -ms-user-select: none; user-select: none;\">\n<p id=\"article-123\">According to The Rock Hill Church founder and singer-songwriter Sonnie Badu, in his line of work, he has observed \u201cdemonic possessions among the Whites are worse\u201d compared to Blacks.<\/p>\n<p>Whether he was being hyperbolic or not is not known, but he said this, disabusing his audience of the mentality that only Africans experience demonic possession.<\/p>\n<p>He cited \u201ca woman who came to me \u2013 she had married Satan \u2013 when she was confessing, they killed her son,\u201d to buttress.<\/p>\n<p>The advancement and development seen \u201cexternally abroad,\u201d he admonished, was only a veneer that \u201ccan make one think there are no demonic activities there, but that\u2019s not true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe poverty and hardship may make it appear as though demons are more active in Africa, but witchcraft and the demonic world are everywhere,\u201d he underlined.<\/p>\n<p>He said he knew this as a matter of fact from \u201ccounselling sessions\u201d with people from diverse ethnicities and backgrounds from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople like my church because my teachings expose some of these things and give direction and relief to people,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>Sonnie Badu spoke to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM\u2019s Ayekoo Ayekoo, Wednesday, November 20, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>He spoke on the due process for delivering people of evil spirits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeliverance is not done overnight,\u201d he noted, underlining, also, in America, unlike in Africa, \u201cif you touch or lay hands on someone and they fall down and hurt themselves, they can sue you. [Therefore, there has to be a consent form; [you] sign a contract.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>To even operate, \u201cyou have to insure your church. My church is insured\u2014millions of dollars,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n<p><b>Safety during deliverance<\/b><\/p>\n<p>He noted precautions taken during sessions of deliverance since demons could enter those who assist the pastor at work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my church, if you\u2019re not prayerful, you\u2019re not allowed to hold anybody during deliverance because demons fly in the air and look for empty vessels to go into. So while you assist with a cloth [for a woman being prayed for, for instance], if you\u2019re not praying and you are easy prey, the demon can enter you,\u201d Sonnie Badu cautioned.<\/p>\n<p>Due to this, he explained, \u201cI don\u2019t commend children to be around areas of deliverances and if there are children there, their parents have to anoint them right there \u2013 making a cross sign on their foreheads.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><b>Relocating a demon<\/b><\/p>\n<p>He said it was due process for the pastor or deliverance minister to cast out the demon and \u201ccommand it to go somewhere else,\u201d explaining, &#8220;If you don\u2019t, it\u2019ll find a place [of its choosing] to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He warned if this was not done, the spirit could back into its original victim after wandering, and they may be worse off than before.<\/p>\n<p>Although he said being a deliverance minister was a spiritual gift, he said one still needed mentorship to excel in that service.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the US-based Ghanaian musician is in Ghana for his peace walk event scheduled for Saturday, November 23.
