The team manager of the Black Stars, Ameenu Shardow, has responded to criticisms concerning the team in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.<\/p>\n According to him, despite the poor results, the team performed very well in the six matches they played, which did not reflect in the final outcome of the games.<\/p>\n The Black Stars’ team manager stated that persons who are criticizing the team for what they say is a terrible performance in the 2025 AFCON qualification are being emotional due to the prevailing circumstances.<\/p>\n Speaking in an interview with Happy FM, Ameenu noted that the Black Stars performed well in the games and deserved to have qualified for the 2025 AFCON.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s only the results which are yet to come, but if you look at the performances of the team in most of the games, we performed better than the results that we got. If we are going to be honest and factual to happenings, our first game against Angola, did anything suggest to you that we deserved to lose the game?<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you pipe down the emotions and you go deeper into the details and analyze just the games, you\u2019ll see that we performed well. If the performance of the team in all the games that we played is anything to go by, Ghana was supposed to top the group if we are only looking at the performance unless you want to be blind to the fact,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He commented that after six matches played in the qualifiers, the Black Stars drew three and lost three, failing to win a single game.<\/p>\n The team finished at the bottom of Group F with three points.
