Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has refuted claims that his presidency would enable Fulani herdsmen to damage farmlands.<\/p>\n

He described these claims as propaganda by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), alleging that the opposition is spreading fears that voting for him would encourage lawlessness among the Fulbe people, who are his in-laws.<\/p>\n

While campaigning in Ejura Sekyedumase on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, Dr Bawumia assured constituents that, under his leadership, Ghana\u2019s laws would be applied equally and fairly to all citizens, regardless of background.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow the NDC is running propaganda that my reign will permit Fulanis to destroy the farmlands, but that will never happen, it\u2019s all propaganda we will never allow it to happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe law will deal with each and everybody. So please don\u2019t listen to such propaganda that we will allow the Fulani to destroy your farmlands.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey will be arrested if they are caught. We are bringing Development with benefits to the town. Give me the Power and you will testify to that.\u201d<\/p>\n
