{"id":248155,"date":"2024-11-08T16:11:54","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T16:11:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/11\/08\/break-the-duopoly-vote-for-alan-rayan-nasir-urges-ghanaians\/"},"modified":"2024-11-08T16:11:54","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T16:11:54","slug":"break-the-duopoly-vote-for-alan-rayan-nasir-urges-ghanaians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/11\/08\/break-the-duopoly-vote-for-alan-rayan-nasir-urges-ghanaians\/","title":{"rendered":"Break the duopoly, vote for Alan \u2013 Rayan Nasir urges Ghanaians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tThe Upper East Regional Anchor for the Movement for Change, Rayan Nasir, has urged Ghanaians to break away from the entrenched duopoly of the NPP and NDC and vote for Alan Kyerematen.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tSpeaking on Yem Radio in Bolgatanga, Nasir noted that the two dominant parties have taken the nation for granted, holding onto power without delivering true progress for the people.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tHe thus called on Ghanaians to vote for the leader of the Movement for Change, who he said is the only candidate capable of fostering a government of national unity that would harness the country\u2019s brightest minds, many of whom have been sidelined by partisan politics.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tNasir emphasised that Alan Kyerematen\u2019s leadership promises transformative policies, including a commitment to economic empowerment through the One District, One Factory initiative.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\u201cThis program was Alan\u2019s brainchild, yet it has been undermined under the current administration. \u201cIf elected, Alan will ensure that every district benefits fully, creating jobs and fostering economic development at the grassroots level.\u201d\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tAli Zakari, the North East Regional Anchor for the Movement for Change, echoed Nasir\u2019s sentiments, citing the region\u2019s untapped agricultural potential.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<figure>\n        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-11-08-at-14.15.26_a577f6f0.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-image-width=\"1280\" data-image-height=\"960\"\/> <\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe North East is blessed with crops like rice and watermelon, but due to the absence of processing factories, our farmers have no choice but to sell their produce cheaply or watch it go to waste. Under Alan\u2019s administration, these crops will be processed locally, increasing farmers\u2019 earnings and creating jobs for the youth,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tNasir also cited Alan\u2019s commitment to fighting corruption, including his pledge to establish an independent anti-corruption agency led by a \u2018corruption czar\u2019 with prosecutorial powers.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\u201cFor too long, corruption has been a cancer eating away at our country\u2019s wealth. Alan\u2019s Great Transformational Plan aims to root out this corruption by consolidating all anti-corruption bodies into one robust institution,\u201d Nasir stated.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<figure>\n        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-11-08-at-14.15.27_c09b4186.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-image-width=\"960\" data-image-height=\"432\"\/> <\/figure>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tHe urged voters to support a leader willing to take bold steps against corrupt officials, no matter their political affiliations, and to push for transparency and accountability at all levels of government.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tAddressing the environmental devastation caused by illegal mining, or galamsey, Nasir noted Alan\u2019s strong stance on protecting Ghana\u2019s natural resources.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\u201cGalamsey has destroyed our lands, our rivers, and our livelihoods,\u201d he stated. \u201cAlan has promised to take a stand against it, not by empty words but by working with local chiefs to restore and protect our natural heritage.\u201d\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\u201cThis winner-takes-all system has failed us.
