\n\t\t\t\t\tThe Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of engaging in lawlessness in Parliament.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\tThe Effutu MP has also accused Speaker Alban Bagbin of supervising chaos.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t\u201cThe Speaker supervised chaos. Clearly, the NDC is on a warpath; they want confusion, and they want lawlessness in this country, and all these are being supervised by Mr. Speaker,\u201d he said.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tMr. Afenyo-Markin\u2019s comment comes in the wake of the indefinite adjournment of sitting on Thursday after the Speaker cited the absence of business for the day.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t\tIn what was expected to be a peaceful recall, the NDC MPs occupied the Majority side of the House, causing the NPP MPs to abandon the proceeding.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t\tAddressing a press conference, Afenyo-Markin reiterated that he respects the Speaker but sometimes does not agree with his modus operandi.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u201cThe Speaker is setting the country on fire. We were disappointed with his non-reconciliatory stance during his press conference. We call on him to demonstrate statesmanship. We want him to know that although we were not happy the day he was elected, it wasn\u2019t the NDC that put him in office but members of our side.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
