Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has disclosed that the IMF board is scheduled to meet on December 2, 2024, to discuss Ghana\u2019s third programme review.<\/p>\n

This review could result in the release of 360 million dollars to support the government\u2019s budget and balance of payment needs. <\/p>\n

This follows a staff-level agreement reached with the government earlier this month, after the IMF\u2019s visit to review data up to June 2024. <\/p>\n

He expressed optimism that the anticipated 360 million dollars from the IMF and an additional 300 million dollars from the World Bank would strengthen Ghana\u2019s reserves, helping stabilise the cedi going into the next year.<\/p>\n

Dr. Amin Adam made these known at a media briefing in Washington, DC, on the sidelines of the Annual IMF\/World Bank Meetings.<\/p>\n

Dr. Amin Adam again revealed that investor engagements during recent meetings reflected a positive response, with investors expressing optimism about Ghana\u2019s ongoing economic reforms.<\/p>\n
