From there, he moved to the Odododiodio Constituency, engaging traders braving the rain in some of the capital&#8217;s most popular markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032628409 lazyload ewww_webp_lazy_load\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour2.jpeg\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" data-eio-rwidth=\"800\" data-eio-rheight=\"533\" src-webp=\"http:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour2.jpeg.webp\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032628409\" data-eio=\"l\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his characteristic energetic style, Dr. Bawumia visited Makola Market, Okaishie, and Kantamanto Market. At each stop, he was met with cheers and chants of his campaign slogan, &#8220;It is possible,&#8221; as traders gathered to greet him, many dancing and embracing him as a show of support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many traders interviewed highlighted the NPP government&#8217;s Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, which they credited with allowing them to educate their children. This, they said, is a primary reason for their continued support for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032628411 lazyload ewww_webp_lazy_load\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour4.jpeg\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" data-eio-rwidth=\"800\" data-eio-rheight=\"533\" src-webp=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour4.jpeg.webp\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour4.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032628411\" data-eio=\"l\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We used to sell family heirlooms just to send one or two children to school, but with the NPP, that struggle is over\u2014now, everyone goes to school for free. We want this to continue, so it\u2019s Bawumia all the way,&#8221; shared one trader at Mamprobi&#8217;s Tuesday Market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another trader in Okaishie expressed similar sentiments: &#8220;It&#8217;s Bawumia and the NPP all the way. Two of my children couldn\u2019t go to secondary school because I couldn\u2019t afford it, even though they were brilliant students. But the two younger ones have gone to secondary school for free, and one is now at university.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032628412 lazyload ewww_webp_lazy_load\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour5.jpeg\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" data-eio-rwidth=\"800\" data-eio-rheight=\"533\" src-webp=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour5.jpeg.webp\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Bawumia_markets_tour5.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032628412\" data-eio=\"l\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Traders across the markets echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of the Free SHS policy to Ghanaians.
