The Takoradi Airforce Base Commander, Air Commodore Kwabena Atiemo has said improving security and protecting territorial boundaries is a shared responsibility and not the duty of the government alone. <\/p>\n

According to him, accommodation and other infrastructure challenges among personnel is a source of worry to the service and that the citizenry can also support to be able to addressed them. <\/p>\n

He disclosed this to newsmen when Cimaf Cement Ghana made cement donations to them and two other institutions.<\/p>\n

Although we are a government institution, it is bestowed on us as citizens to support them with logistics to compliment their efforts to be able to work well. <\/p>\n

The beneficiary institutions are Airforce Base, Naval Base and Fijai Senior High School all in the Sekondi Takoradi metropolis of the western region.<\/p>\n

Head master of Fijai Senior High School, Mr Kenneth Dotse said the donation will go a long way to help the school looking at the challenges the school faces in terms of fencing and other infrastructural challenges <\/p>\n

The Deputy General Manager of Cimaf Cement Ghana, Mr Joseph Kobina Aboo noted that improving security and education in Ghana is a shared responsibility hence the company’s donation forms part of their Cooperate Social Responsibility<\/p>\n
