{"id":222182,"date":"2024-09-30T12:49:17","date_gmt":"2024-09-30T12:49:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/09\/30\/ndlea-arrest-wanted-drug-trafficking-kingpin-ex-convict-in-lagos-ogun\/"},"modified":"2024-09-30T12:49:17","modified_gmt":"2024-09-30T12:49:17","slug":"ndlea-arrest-wanted-drug-trafficking-kingpin-ex-convict-in-lagos-ogun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/09\/30\/ndlea-arrest-wanted-drug-trafficking-kingpin-ex-convict-in-lagos-ogun\/","title":{"rendered":"NDLEA Arrest Wanted Drug Trafficking Kingpin, Ex-Convict In Lagos, Ogun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, have arrested two suspected drug kingpins who were previously declared wanted.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the drug lords, identified as Ajiboye Samuel and Alhaji Bashir Talba, were arrested in separate locations in Ogun and Lagos states on September 25 and September 27, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>This was contained in a statement released to the public on Sunday, by the NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Babafemi noted that Samuel, who is popularly known as \u2018Na God\u2019, was declared wanted after a raid on his warehouse in the Mushin area of Lagos, where a total of 1,101 kilograms of Ghana Loud was was seized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0NDLEA Nabs Ibadan Based Businesswoman, Auto Dealer For Drug Trafficking In Lagos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The agency explained that Samuel had been evading arrest but was finally apprehended in a bank in Ogun State.<\/p>\n<p>NDLEA said:\u00a0\u201cOperatives on Wednesday, September 25, arrested a wanted drug kingpin, Ajiboye\u00a0 Samuel (a.k.a Na God), after 12 months of evading arrest following the raid of his warehouse in Akala, Mushin area of Lagos, where a total of 1,101 kilograms of Ghana Loud, a strong strain of cannabis, was recovered on September 4, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe arrest of Samuel in a bank in Ogun State followed well-coordinated efforts by the agency\u2019s Directorate of Assets and Financial Investigation, which traced 20 bank accounts linked to the suspect and blocked them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn like manner, the NDLEA operatives in Lagos on Friday, September 27, took into custody a wanted community leader and Sarkin Yamma of Badagry, Alhaji Bashir Talba, following the arrest of his two wives: Hauwa and Asma\u2019u and son, Sadat, as well as the seizure of a total of 226.2kg cannabis at their homes in Badagry on September 18.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div data-advadstrackid=\"941128\" data-advadstrackbid=\"1\" class=\"infor-target\" id=\"infor-914938095\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FirstBank-Giant-Strides300x250.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, have arrested two suspected drug kingpins who were previously declared wanted.
