Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has claimed that some soldiers in the Nigeria Army, have been engaging in different kind of illicit drugs abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Lagbaja made this known in Sokoto while declaring open a one-day seminar on warrior ethos, organised by the Department of Army Transformation and Innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Represented by the acting General Officer Commanding, 8 Division, Brig. Gen. Ibikunle Ajose, the COAS expressed the hope that the seminar would address the issue of drug abuse among soldiers.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He assured troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in Sokoto State of continued support in the provision of needed logistics and guidance for the success of their operations.<\/p>\n<p>Lagbaja said: \u201cI can assure you of my continuous support to provide the much-needed logistics and guidance required for the execution of your tasks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0LG Autonomy Will Solve Insecurity \u2013 COAS, Lagbaja<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Nigerian Army has continued to review its tactics, techniques and procedures in order to come up with both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies to defeat these challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis seminar was, therefore, premised on the need to improve the capacity of the Nigerian Army personnel towards enhancing warrior ethos and the battle-winning mentality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will also highlight the threats of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear terrorism in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition, the prevailing incidence of drug and substance abuse among troops deployed in theatres of operation has become quite worrisome and necessitates troops\u2019 awareness in a bid to enhance combat effectiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div data-advadstrackid=\"941128\" data-advadstrackbid=\"1\" class=\"infor-target\" id=\"infor-271100091\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FirstBank-Giant-Strides300x250.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.
