Egypt secured their second 2-2 draw at AFCON 2024 as The Pharaohs twice fought back to hold Ghana in Abidjan.<\/p>\n

Another draw leaves Egypt on two points from two matches so far in Group B, but the major talking point at full time was a first half injury to captain Mo Salah.<\/p>\n

Salah immediately indicated he needed to be withdrawn just before the break with Mohammed Kudus blasting Ghana in front just seconds later.<\/p>\n

However, Salah’s teammates responded to the challenge after the restart, with the lively Omar Marmoush slotting home after a mistake by La Liga hotshot Inaki Williams.<\/p>\n

That triggered a wild five minutes, as Kudus’ deflected strike put Ghana back in front, before striker Mostafa Mohamed poked Egypt back level on the night.<\/p>\n

Egypt survived a a few scares late on, but attention will quickly turn to Salah’s recovery, ahead of facing group leaders Cape Verde on January 22.<\/p>\n
